Since its early days, the Sheyenne Valley Soap Box Derby has brought together racers, families, and fans for a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and community spirit. Inspired by the national Soap Box Derby movement that began in the 1930s, our local event has grown into a beloved annual tradition—where kids build, race, and learn the value of teamwork and perseverance. Race day 2026 marks our 30th year of racing!
